Dark Triad là gì

Khái niệm "Dark Triad" được Paulhus & Williams introduce năm 2002, gồm 3 trait:

Quan trọng: trong dân số bình thường, ai cũng có 3 trait này ở mức độ khác nhau. Dark Triad clinical (nguy hiểm) chỉ chiếm 1-3% population. Đa số chúng ta có baseline mild - đó là normal.

3 trait chi tiết

1. Machiavellianism (Mưu mẹo)

Đặt tên theo Niccolò Machiavelli, tác giả "The Prince" (1532) - sách hướng dẫn ruler dùng cunning strategy.

Đặc điểm:
- Long-term strategic thinking
- Comfortable với manipulation cho lợi ích
- View people as means to end
- Pragmatic, không cảm tính
- "Ends justify means" mindset

Surface behavior:
- Charming khi cần
- Calculating trong conversation
- Keep secrets + leverage
- Network strategic
- Slow to trust, fast to use

KHÔNG đồng nghĩa với:
- Sociopathy (thiếu empathy hoàn toàn)
- Lying mọi lúc
- Bad person

Many successful executives, lawyers, politicians có Machiavellianism moderate. Strategic không = evil.

2. Narcissism (Ái kỷ)

Đặt tên theo Narcissus trong thần thoại Hy Lạp - người yêu reflection của mình.

Đặc điểm:
- Inflated self-importance
- Cần admire + attention
- Belief mình special, unique
- Sense of entitlement
- Lack empathy với người khác

- Healthy narcissism (cần thiết): self-confidence, ambition

3. Psychopathy (Vô cảm)

Trong context Dark Triad personality, ý nói "psychopathy subclinical" - mild traits trong dân số bình thường, KHÔNG phải clinical psychopathy nguy hiểm.

Vì sao 3 trait này grouped together?

Research từ Paulhus & Williams (2002) phát hiện:
- 3 trait có overlap (correlation 0.3-0.5)
- Common factor: low empathy + manipulation tendency

Trong dân số bình thường, người trung bình có 70% Light + 30% Dark - chúng ta phần lớn tốt, có chút dark.
